Goodbye to Another Rock Legend

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today 2 get through this thing called life....

Man- Lemmy, Bowie, and now Prince.

Honestly, one of the greatest and most underrated musicians of our age. The man knew his way around showmanship and shock, but if you don't see past the assless chaps, go watch his performance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. He wrote and produced for tons of top-charting acts, and built a commercial empire using one of the most brilliant legal tactics in decades- When he changed his name to an unpronounceable symbol to escape his record contract with his back catalog. He was also unbelievably prolific- Allegedly recording hundreds of videos and thousands of songs, all locked away in his private vault- Not just demos, but fully produced, mixed, and edited, with titles, art, and ready-to-print masters.

Perhaps now it will be opened, but I suspect he already planned for this- My guess is that we will see a new Prince album every year or two for the next few decades.

Dearly beloved, We are gathered here today to get through this thing called life.
Electric word, life. It means forever and that's a mighty long time.  But I'm here to tell you there's something else- The after world. A world of never ending happiness.  You can always see the sun, day or night
So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills- You know the one, Dr. Everything'll Be Alright- Instead of asking him how much of your time is left, ask him how much of your mind, baby.  'Cause in this life things are much harder than in the after world.  In this life you're on your own.  And if the elevator tries to bring you down, go crazy, punch a higher floor....
-Let's Go Crazy
